Last year Jana Contreras and myself had the idea to host a dinner to get to know other local photographers and build each other up as a community of photographers. In June we hosted our first dinner and it went so wonderfully. So many local photographers reached out to us to be a part of our next dinner. So over the past few months we have been planning and dreaming up our Fall Dinner.

 

We loved the idea of a long community table and a giant cheese and fruit board down the center. I’m a DIY nut…so I decided to just make the cheese boards. I stained wood pieces with balsamic vinegar and finished it off with olive oil so that they would be non-toxic and safe for food! I cut tons of fern and greenery from our yard to make the clear menus pop on the black plates. I ordered the clear menus from Basic Invite. (Use my code ELISEAILEEN for a discount!)

Jana and I have wanted to create a something for building each other up and supporting one another in our careers. Running a business on your own can be overwhelming, lonely, chaotic (especially when you have kids!)…and we are so happy to be building something to change that. Our table was surrounded by about 30 incredible women and it was so wonderful to meet new people and continue building friendships.

    

Plates, cups, candles and table cloths were all from the Hearth and Hand line from Target.

Utensils are from the H&M home line.

Cloth napkins were made by me!

I just love this view right here…amazing women coming together!
